About the Role: As a Cleaner, you play a vital role in the daily running of the academy. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in your designated area. Working under the guidance of the Cleaning Supervisor or Caretaker, you will ensure that classrooms, corridors, and communal spaces are safe, sanitary, and ready for the school day. This is a hands-on role where your attention to detail will directly contribute to the health and well-being of our school community.
Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the Cleaning Supervisor/Caretaker, be responsible for the cleanliness of a specified area within the academy to ensure hygiene standards are maintained, working to a set timescale.
- Undertake appropriate training to understand the correct ways to use and store cleaning equipment and domestic products in order to comply with Health and Safety regulations.
- Be vigilant to risks and hazards and report these correctly under COSHH to maintain a high level of Health and Safety.
- Replenish hygiene items, such as soap and towels, to support staff, pupils, and visitors in maintaining personal hygiene standards.
- Maintain required cleaning records in accordance with Health and Safety and academy procedures.
- Work as a team with other cleaning staff to ensure the whole academy is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
