Are you a friendly and reliable individual who enjoys working with children? We are looking for enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisory Assistants to join our team, ensuring that our students have a safe, fun, and organised break in the middle of their school day.
About the Role
Lunchtime is an important part of the school day, allowing students to recharge and socialise. As a Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant, you will work under the direction of the Senior Midday Supervisor to oversee the dining hall and playground areas. You will be a friendly face for the students, helping them with their meals, encouraging good behaviour, and supervising activities. Whether it is keeping the dining area clean or organising games on a rainy day, your contribution will ensure the environment remains safe and welcoming for everyone.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the overall supervision of designated areas, assisting pupils at meal times and ensuring pupils take responsibility for clearing eating facilities by removing food and debris.
- Perform basic cleaning tasks to meet the academy's Health and Safety standards.
- Supervise organised activities, especially indoors during inclement weather, to encourage the development of social skills and self-discipline, ensuring equipment is utilized effectively and stored safely.
- Be aware of the academy’s behaviour guidelines and deal with the misbehaviour of any pupils, keeping the Senior Midday Supervisor informed.
- Monitor designated areas, ensuring that any incidents or security breaches are reported appropriately to ensure the safeguarding of pupils.
- Provide appropriate care and support to pupils, ensuring their welfare and hygiene needs are met.
- In the event of any injuries, deal immediately with the situation by referring to the Senior Midday Supervisor and following the academy’s policy and procedure.
