We’re Wickersley Partnership Trust (WPT) – a multi-academy trust with eight primary schools, five secondary schools, one sixth form and one Central Team. We’re dotted across Rotherham, South Yorkshire with one school based in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. Join Our Dynamic Team as a Graduate Tutor! This is a rewarding role where you will see the direct impact of your work while developing essential skills for a future career in teaching. As a Graduate Tutor, you will be a vital part of our student support system.
Responsibilities
- Delivering high-quality online tutoring to individual students and small groups with 1-10 students
- Supporting disadvantaged students to close learning gaps and build confidence in their studies
- Collaborating with our Subject Directors to plan and tailor sessions to meet student needs
- Monitoring and reporting on student progress, adapting your approach to ensure success
Who We’re Looking For
- A recent graduate with a strong academic background in a subject with significant Maths, Science, English, or Humanities elements
- A natural communicator with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and patiently
- A self-motivated, flexible, and organised individual who can work with initiative in a remote setting
- Someone with a genuine passion for education and supporting young people. Previous tutoring or teaching experience is a plus, but not required—we provide full training!
- Someone confident in presenting online lessons and can engage and build relationships with vulnerable learners
- Confident use of ICT – Google Suite knowledge is advantageous
