An elite US law firm is seeking a high-performing associate to join its London Mergers & Acquisitions practice. The team advises leading private equity sponsors, multinational corporates, portfolio companies, founders, and financial institutions on a broad range of sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions. Associates within the group work closely with partners across London and the wider international platform on complex, high-value matters spanning multiple sectors.

This role offers the opportunity to work within a leanly staffed, high-performing team with significant client exposure and early responsibility.

Responsibilities
  • Advising clients on domestic and cross-border private M&A transactions
  • Assisting on public company transactions, strategic investments, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings
  • Drafting and negotiating principal transaction documentation, including share purchase agreements, shareholders’ agreements, disclosure documentation, and ancillary agreements
  • Managing transaction processes, due diligence exercises, and cross-border workstreams
  • Coordinating with specialist teams across finance, tax, antitrust, employment, and regulatory matters
  • Supporting business development initiatives and client relationship management
Qualifications
  • England & Wales qualified solicitor with 2–6 years’ PQE
  • Experience gained at a leading City, international, or US law firm
  • Strong technical grounding in Corporate M&A
  • Excellent drafting, organisational, and communication skills
  • Commercially focused with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced transactional environment
  • Strong academic credentials
