An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven senior corporate lawyer to join a leading London-based corporate practice with a strong Financial Services focus. The role involves advising a diverse client base on complex corporate transactions and advisory matters within the UK and international FS sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in executing high-value and strategically important matters, working closely with partners, colleagues across practice groups, and international teams. The position offers significant client exposure, responsibility across the full deal lifecycle, and scope to contribute to business development and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising on public and private M Preliminary agreements (NDAs, exclusivity agreements, term sheets)
- Legal due diligence and disclosure exercises
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating key transaction documents
- Advising on joint ventures, shareholder arrangements, and strategic partnerships within the FS sector
- Working collaboratively with regulatory, finance, tax, and international colleagues on multi-disciplinary and cross-border matters
- Managing client relationships directly, delivering clear, pragmatic, and commercially focused advice
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers, delegating work effectively and maintaining high quality standards
- Contributing to business development initiatives and supporting the growth of the Financial Services corporate practice
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legal, regulatory, and market developments affecting the FS sector
