A leading law firm is seeking an Employment Associate or Senior Associate (2–7 PQE) to join its expanding UK Employment team. This opportunity is open to candidates based in Scotland or England & Wales – Scottish qualification is not required.

The Opportunity

You will join a nationally recognised Employment group of 50+ lawyers advising a high‑calibre client base, including FTSE 100 companies and well-known household brands. The team operates within a wider international platform, regularly supporting cross‑border projects and complex, multi‑jurisdictional matters. The practice is broad, commercial and genuinely varied, offering exposure across the full employment lifecycle. Work will include:

  • Day-to-day advisory support to commercial clients
  • Corporate support on transactions, business transfers, outsourcing and real estate deals
  • Employment Tribunal, civil court and appellate litigation
  • Collective matters including restructures, redundancies, TUPE and industrial relations
  • Workplace and regulatory investigations
  • Strategic advisory projects, including compliance with new legal developments

This is a fast‑paced, collaborative environment with strong internal support and clear progression pathways.

The Candidate

Suitable applicants will:

  • Be 2–7 PQE with solid employment law experience
  • Have experience across both contentious and non‑contentious matters
  • Demonstrate strong academics and technical grounding
  • Be commercially aware, organised and proactive
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Show genuine ambition to contribute to team growth and client development
