A leading US firm in London is seeking to hire two associates into its high-performing Credit Funds team, one at the junior level (1–3 PQE) and one at the senior level (4+ PQE). The team is recognised for advising some of the most active private credit funds, direct lenders and alternative capital providers in the European market.
The Role
- Advise credit funds and institutional investors on a broad range of financing transactions, with a particular focus on direct lending and complex credit strategies.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Advising private credit funds and direct lenders on mid‑market and large‑cap financings
- Acting on sponsor‑backed and non‑sponsor transactions, including unitranche, mezzanine and special situations
- Supporting fund clients across the lifecycle of investments, including origination, execution and portfolio management
- Drafting and negotiating finance documents, including facility agreements and intercreditor arrangements
- Working on cross‑border transactions across Europe

- Market‑leading private credit platform with strong deal flow and continued investment
- Established relationships with top‑tier credit funds and alternative lenders
- Lean deal teams, providing excellent exposure and early responsibility
- Collaborative, high‑performing and commercially focused environment
Candidate Profile
- 1–3 PQE or 4+ PQE with strong leveraged finance / private credit experience
- Experience acting for lenders or credit funds preferred
- Training from a leading City or international firm
- Strong academics and technical skillset
