Our client, a top 50 UK law firm with a strong national and international presence, is seeking to expand its Corporate team. The firm has a long-standing reputation for excellence in private M&A and Equity Capital Markets (ECM) work and continues to see a steady flow of high-quality corporate mandates.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and highly experienced team, working on a broad range of corporate matters including acquisitions, disposals, investments, restructurings, and equity transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Engagement: Take an active role in managing client relationships—keep clients updated on matter progress, manage expectations around cost, quality, and timescales, and identify opportunities for additional work.
- Business Development & Profile Building: Contribute to the firm’s market presence by attending industry events, supporting thought leadership initiatives (e.g., articles, client briefings), and participating in training sessions—internally and externally.
- Technical Delivery & Risk Compliance: Draft and negotiate transaction documents, support deal management and closing processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory and firm-wide risk management procedures.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
- Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in Corporate M&A, ideally from a respected City or regional practice
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and transaction management skills
- Commercially minded with a proactive approach to client service and business development
