Banking & Finance Associate / Senior Associate
Location: London | Full-Service Firm | Broad Transactional Exposure
We’re working with a full-service UK firm with a strong national footprint, seeking an experienced Banking & Finance lawyer to join its London team.
The role offers wide-ranging exposure across lender and borrower work, with an emphasis on drafting and negotiating facility agreements, credit agreements, and LMA-style documentation.
The Role
You’ll handle a broad mix of transactions, from corporate and real estate finance to acquisition and development facilities. The work is hands-on, drafting-heavy, and client-facing — ideal for someone who enjoys managing deals end-to-end in a collaborative, commercially minded team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting and negotiating facility, credit and security documentation (including LMA templates)
- Acting for both lenders and borrowers across diverse financing structures
- Advising on inter-creditor issues, guarantees and security packages
- Managing transactions through to completion with minimal supervision
- Mentoring juniors and contributing to team development
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales, Australia or New Zealand), ideally 2–7 PQE
- Strong technical drafting skills — facility and credit agreements are essential
- Experience on both lender and borrower mandates preferred
- Commercially aware, client-focused, and comfortable leading on documentation
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
