The Opportunity
Wicker Hamilton has been exclusively instructed by an established international business to appoint a Senior In-House Counsel to its London legal team.
This is a broad, commercially focused position offering significant exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to play an influential role within a growing organisation.
Strong insurance experience, ideally within the London insurance market, is essential.
The Role
Working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, you will provide pragmatic legal advice across a varied range of commercial and strategic matters.
Responsibilities will include:
Providing commercial and strategic legal advice to the business
Advising on insurance-related legal and regulatory matters
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements
Supporting senior stakeholders on complex and business-critical matters
Identifying and managing legal and regulatory risk
Working collaboratively with teams across the wider international business
Managing external counsel where appropriate
Candidate Profile
We are interested in speaking with lawyers who:
Have strong insurance sector experience
Have a good understanding of the London insurance market
Can provide practical, commercially focused legal advice
Are comfortable working directly with senior business stakeholders
Have excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills
Applications are welcomed from experienced in-house lawyers as well as suitable private practice lawyers looking to make the move in-house.
