An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Clinical & Medical Negligence Associate (2-6 years PQE) to join a highly regarded and growing department at a respected regional law firm with offices in both London and Buckinghamshire. This is a chance to work on complex and rewarding claimant matters, with real client impact and strong career progression.
The Role:
- You will be joining a dynamic and collaborative team that specialises in high-value and sensitive medical negligence claims.
- The caseload includes:
- Complex clinical negligence matters including surgical errors, misdiagnosis, delayed treatment, birth injuries, and fatal claims.
- Running your own caseload with supervision, as well as assisting on high-value and group actions.
- Drafting letters of claim, instructions to counsel and experts, witness statements, and schedules of loss.
- Working closely with clients and their families through what are often distressing circumstances, delivering advice with empathy and clarity.
- Supporting the department's business development and client engagement initiatives.
About You:
- 2-6 years PQE with solid experience in clinical negligence, ideally on the claimant side.
- Experience managing your own caseload and progressing cases from initial instruction to resolution.
- Strong understanding of the legal, procedural, and evidential requirements in medical negligence claims.
- Excellent communication and client care skills.
- Empathetic, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
