In addition to hands-on mechanical work, you will help support the wider workshop team, maintain high standards of quality and productivity, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the workshop.,
- Carry out repairs and servicing to a high standard
- Diagnose mechanical issues and find effective solutions
- Help maintain an organised, tidy and efficient workshop
- Assist with workshop organisation and stock control
- Occasionally assist customers with bike and accessory sales
- Maintain a safe and professional working environment
- Head Mechanic: support the workshop team and help oversee day-to-day workshop operations This role is suited to an experienced mechanic who is confident carrying out a wide range of repairs and servicing to a high standard.
You will work independently on a day-to-day basis while being part of a supportive team where experience, reliability and good communication are valued.,
- Minimum 5 years of bicycle workshop experience
- Confident working on all common types of bicycles
- Strong mechanical knowledge and attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload
- Reliable, organised and comfortable working in a busy workshop
- Cytech Level 2 or 3 qualification preferred, but not essential
- Willing to work some weekends on rotation Wicked Bikes is a busy bicycle workshop and retail space based at Hackney Bridge, a lively canalside destination surrounded by cafés, restaurants and creative businesses.
