The Financial Accountant is responsible for providing timely and accurate financial analysis and reporting for internal, statutory, and regulatory purposes. This role should add value to the business through strong technical knowledge of accounting and provide key support to the Financial Reporting Accountant & Internal Audit Manager.
- Preparation of all monthly internal reporting.
- Prepare monthly management accounts ensuring accuracy of all schedules.
- Prepare monthly analysis of Central Overheads to provide full details to CFO.
- Lead contact to external auditors and tax advisors.
- Provide detailed schedules and information as requested by external auditors during Interim Audit & Fieldwork.
- Lead / key contact for ad-hoc financial reporting activities.
- Key contact for Financial Reporting requirements to Parent Company.
- Projects and Continued Process Improvements.
Skills and experience that will help you be a success:
- CA qualified or equivalent – 1 year post qualifying experience.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting systems.
- High level of technical accounting knowledge and understanding of Accounting Standards.
- Robust communication skills both verbal and written.
- Must be comfortable to engage with stakeholders across all levels of the business and convey financial information to non-financial colleagues.
- Organised, methodical with a high attention to detail and the ability to prioritise in a busy working environment.
- Highly analytical and able to examine and utilise information to provide key insights to a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent Excel skills to advanced level are a must.
