At Whyte & Mackay, our partnership with Booker is of huge strategic importance to our business. We’re now looking for a National Account Manager to take ownership of this critical relationship and help drive our next stage of growth across our brands.
Alongside Booker, you’ll also be responsible for performance across One Stop, Fillshill Sutherlands and JW Gray, giving you additional scope to exercise your commercial acumen, creativity and influence. This is a role for someone who enjoys accountability, cross‑functional collaboration and making a visible impact with customers who really matter.
As National Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving distribution, visibility and activation of our brands across your customer portfolio. You’ll lead the relationship end‑to‑end, creating and delivering robust, commercially sound joint business plans that unlock mutual growth.
You will work closely with cross‑functional teams internally, from Supply Chain and Finance to Customer Marketing, ensuring plans are executed brilliantly and opportunities are maximised. You will be a category expert, using your knowledge to excite, influence and inspire customers, and to lead category conversations with confidence and credibility.
This is a home‑based role, with regular travel to customer sites, our Glasgow head office and sales meetings.
What will help you succeed:
- You are a commercially curious, relationship‑driven Account Manager who enjoys working in a fast‑paced RTM environment.
- You’re confident owning a P&L, comfortable using data to inform decisions, and skilled at influencing both internally and externally.
- You will bring experience from preferably FMCG sales within Account Management, ideally with exposure to UK RTM Off Trade or Wholesale customers.
- You enjoy negotiation, know how to structure and deliver a Joint Business Plan, and adapt your style to get the best results.
- Just as importantly, you bring energy, resilience and a genuine passion for the industry.
Why join Whyte & Mackay? You will join a business with a proud heritage and an ambitious future, one that trusts its Account Managers to lead, influence and deliver meaningful commercial impact. Here, you will have real ownership, the opportunity to work with world‑class brands, and the support to grow your career in a business that values curiosity, collaboration and doing the right thing. There’s never been a better time to join the Whyte & Mackay community.
