Responsibilities

  • Leading and coordinating SEND provision across EYFS and KS1, ensuring a consistent and high-quality approach throughout the school.
  • Supporting and coaching teachers and support staff to deliver inclusive, adaptive teaching and effective interventions.
  • Monitoring, evaluating and reviewing the impact of SEND interventions, using data and evidence to inform next steps.
  • Working in partnership with families, valuing their insights and ensuring their voices are central to decision-making.
  • Liaising with external agencies, including educational psychologists, therapists and local authority services, to secure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice, maintaining accurate records and contributing to statutory processes such as EHCPs.
  • Modelling excellent classroom practice and supporting the professional development of colleagues through training and guidance.
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school, promoting a culture of inclusion, empathy and high expectations for all.
