Our IT team works closely with stakeholders to develop and implement technology solutions. As a Business Analyst here you will be responsible for analysing, recommending and defining business requirements to implement new business models and enhance existing processes, products and services. Available to work from either Support Centre locations, London or Swindon.

What you will be doing:

  • Requirement Elicitation - Capturing and documenting business requirements aligned with the business objective
  • Process & BA Documentation - Preparing clear business analysis documentation, including current and future state processes, requirements / user stories and non-functional requirements, requirements traceability
  • Stakeholder Relationships - Building effective working relationships with internal teams / stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Supplier Engagement - Coordinating with suppliers to support the understanding of requirements and review solution designs
  • Test Execution – Supporting the testing activities by reviewing test scenarios and testing outcomes, triaging defects, and supporting the business in User-Acceptance Testing
  • Workshop Facilitation – Supporting meetings, workshops and discussions by taking notes, tracking actions and following up on the next steps
  • Business Process / Change – Helping develop user guides and training materials to support business change and system adoption
  • Project Governance - Working as part of the project team to identify upstream / downstream dependencies, risk and issues and input into the project timeline (for BA activities)
  • Process Adherence – Following the WHSmith best practices documentation and methodology for project delivery

What we are looking for:

  • A proven Business Analysis background
  • Excellent understanding of IT processes and associated skills
  • Experience of working with either Agile or Waterfall development methodologies
  • Proven experience of managing multiple projects
  • Ideally previous experience in Retail, Logistics, FMCG, Manufacturing or CPG
