This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract position.

What you’ll be doing?

  • Own the delivery of the WHSmith International Customer Plan, ensuring all marketing activity is executed on time and within budget across international markets.
  • Ensure all key milestones and deadlines are met, managing multiple campaigns and workstreams simultaneously across varying levels of complexity, brand and country.
  • Take end‑to‑end ownership of international POS, from briefing and artwork approval through to print, delivery and in‑store execution.
  • Ensure all creative and artwork meets brand guidelines, is legally and factually accurate, and appropriate for each market.
  • Work closely with print partners to meet production and delivery timelines, identify efficiencies and ensure the most effective POS formats are used for each store and promotional space.
  • Create, maintain and continuously improve an accurate international POS database.
  • Own the international screens process, working closely with screen partners to ensure content is accurate, effective and delivered on time.
  • Maintain all associated trackers and databases, ensuring store information and screen data remain accurate and up to date.
  • Review screen content effectiveness and incorporate feedback and learnings into future activity.

Stakeholder & Store Management

  • Act as the key marketing contact for international stores, managing the feedback ticket process and ensuring requests relating to POS and screens are prioritised and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Liaise closely with Trading and Commercial teams to align on POS and digital requirements, deadlines and priorities.
  • Provide stores with clear, timely marketing communications for all campaigns and initiatives.
  • Support the Commercial team by identifying the most effective marketing solutions for new activity and products.
  • Ensure all supplier‑funded POS, wraps and screen content meet WHSmith brand guidelines and quality standards.
  • Support the marketing workstream for international new store openings, ensuring all POS, screens and communications are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Travel internationally when required to support new store openings, campaign implementations, POS reviews or key meetings.

Budget, Administration and Process

  • Raise marketing purchase orders as required and ensure accurate tracking through the PO log to support effective budget management.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of POS and screen activity using store feedback and available performance data.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency and enhance ways of working across international marketing.

  • You’ll come from a background of dealing with in‑store POS / Digital Visual Marketing.
  • You’ll be familiar with using Excel to create sometimes complex briefs.
  • You’ll enjoy working with creative artworking teams.
  • Getting it right first time, with great attention to detail, is a key strength of yours.
  • The ability to multi‑task comes naturally to you, including the workload and performance of your direct report.
  • You’re happy working at pace and delivering to tight deadlines.
