Storesperson / FLT Driver
Key Areas of Responsibility, Duties and Deliverables Expected
Responsibilities
- Support the safe and efficient picking, staging and loading of products for customer shipments.
- Load and unload finished goods, raw materials and components using Forklift Trucks (FLT) and Man-Up equipment.
- Accurately store finished goods into designated warehouse locations and racking systems.
- Ensure customer orders are picked and prepared in accordance with dispatch schedules and quality requirements.
- Carry out stock movements and inventory transactions using company systems and processes.
- Verify product quantities, locations and documentation to maintain stock accuracy.
- Support goods-in and goods-out activities, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately.
- Conduct routine equipment checks and report any defects or safety concerns to management.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping across warehouse and storage areas.
- Ensure all warehouse activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures and safe working practices.
- Work collaboratively with Production, Logistics and Planning teams to ensure material availability and customer requirements are met.
- Assist with stock counts and inventory control activities as required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse and logistics function.
Shift Pattern
- Continental shifts (Pitman pattern), rotating days and nights on a two-week cycle:
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
- Week 2: Wednesday and Thursday.
- Overtime and shift cover opportunities are often available.
