- Key Areas of Responsibility, Duties and Deliverables Expected
Responsibilities
- Carry out detailed inspections of injection moulded components, assemblies and painted products using AQL criteria and relevant documentation, including Procedure Sheets.
- Ensure all inspections are completed in accordance with customer-specific requirements, quality standards and industry regulations.
- Inspect product dimensions, surface finishes, colour consistency, functionality and other quality characteristics to ensure conformity with specifications.
- Accurately document inspection results and identify any non-conformances or defects.
- Conduct first-off inspections for newly set-up moulds and production runs to ensure products meet quality requirements before mass production begins.
- Review and validate production process set-ups alongside the Production team, ensuring adjustments are made where necessary to achieve quality standards.
- Communicate first-off inspection results and any required adjustments to the Team Leader and relevant departments.
- Work closely with Production to support smooth manufacturing operations and resolve quality concerns identified during inspections.
- Provide feedback to the Team Leader or Quality Supervisor on process improvements and opportunities to reduce defects and improve product quality.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities, including NCs, 4C's and 8D investigations.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures whilst carrying out inspection activities and handling products.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and work in accordance with 5S principles.
