The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Your role is to be responsible for your Row’s production performance, quality output and housekeeping. Ensuring all SOPs are being adhered to and costs are controlled in line with the KPIs you will be responsible for.

Key Areas of Responsibility, Duties and Deliverables Expected:

  • Responsibilities:
    • Managing the machine performance. Maximise output by organising your tool changes with SMED principles and minimising waste (machine time, labour and scrap). Using hourly monitors to ensure the performance of your Row(s) is in line with your KPIs.
    • Labour utilisation. Making sure you have the allocated labour being utilised to produce product at the right time and at the right quality. Your KPI will be set from Finance on cost of labour vs sales on weekly monitor. You must ensure areas to improve utilisation are managed by yourself and suggestions for further support/expenditure are put through your Line Manager to reduce costs.
    • Quality output. You will be responsible for all the quality coming out of your Row(s), ensuring SOPs are being adhered to by operators. Making sure operators are continually trained and the Skills Matrix is always kept up to date. Escalating potential risks to quality to your Line Manager.
    • Employee engagement. Ensuring there is daily communication with all employees at the start of the shift for feedback about the Row(s) performance from the previous day and any issues (H&S/Quality) that are highlighted are discussed. Any issues relating to staff performance are managed by you with the support of HR (please follow the HR procedures for performance related issues).
    • Inefficient job running list. Review jobs that are costing the business the most lost revenue for either quality, manufacturing inefficiencies or waste, and action improvements to bring costs back into line.
    • Housekeeping of your Row(s) falls under your responsibility. In line with the 5S audits that are conducted by the Directors you will implement a robust system that reviews this daily, which is audited and can demonstrate continual housekeeping adherence.
