I’m hiring a Copy Lead to join our growing marketing team at WHOOP. We’re looking for a concept-first creative with 5+ years of in-house experience at a high-growth brand — someone who can turn sharp insights into bold, culture-shaping ideas across campaigns, social, and video. You’ll help define our voice, lead big campaign thinking, and create work that actually moves people alongside a fast-moving, high-bar team. This role is responsible for leading concept development and execution across integrated campaigns, social, and partnerships—bringing a distinct point of view and a high bar for creative excellence. As a senior individual contributor, you will shape and drive creative work across key campaign initiatives, partnering closely with copy and creative teammates to expand and push the WHOOP voice.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead concept development and write high-impact campaign ideas including taglines, campaign lines, and headline-driven executions across channels.
  • Own creative output across key projects, setting the bar for quality, craft, and originality.
  • Translate briefs and insights into compelling creative territories, including naming systems, campaign platforms, and narrative frameworks.
  • Write across OOH, print, digital, email, experiential including scripts for video and social content, with a strong understanding of platform-specific best practices.
  • Partner cross-functionally with brand, design, and creative teams to deliver integrated campaigns, social content, and partnerships.
  • Present and articulate creative concepts clearly and persuasively to internal stakeholders, incorporating feedback to strengthen the work.
  • Provide feedback and elevate other writers’ work.
  • Work alongside creative leadership to protect and evolve the WHOOP voice.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5–8 years of experience in copywriting with a strong portfolio of campaign or brand work.
  • Demonstrated expertise in crafting taglines, campaign lines, and concept-driven creative.
  • Experience writing scripts for video, social, and other narrative formats.
  • Strong understanding of social platforms and how to create work that resonates in culture.
  • Experience developing naming systems for campaigns, products, or initiatives.
  • Strong creative instincts with the ability to generate, refine, and elevate big ideas.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to fast-paced, iterative creative processes.
  • Comfort presenting creative work and engaging in constructive critique with peers and stakeholders.
  • Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions.

At WHOOP, we view total compensation as the combination of base salary, equity, and benefits, with equity serving as a key differentiator that aligns our employees with the long-term success of the company and allows every member of our corporate team to own part of WHOOP and share in the company’s long-term growth and success.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000 - $150,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each range, individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, performance, and relevant education or training. In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package. These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs. While most offers will typically fall toward the starting point of the range, total compensation will depend on the candidate’s specific qualifications, expertise, and alignment with the role’s requirements.
