Responsibilities include ordering and replenishing products for all perishable and non-perishable items while maintaining appropriate back stock levels. Monitor, verify, and act upon open PO reports and supplier paperwork for purchases and credits in an accurate and timely manner. Complete all training on time and control spoilage/shrink in all areas of the store. Analyse and control product transfers, waste, and spoilage. Complete spoilage and other inventory management processes, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required. Ensure orders for products are timely and accurate to monitor inventory turns. Support leadership with getting the store ready for inventory and auditing store tags, signs, and scale prices to confirm accuracy. Provide basic support on WFM applications and maintain financial profitability by meeting purchasing and sales targets for the store.

Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer needs in a timely and effective manner, modelling suggestive selling techniques, and answering phones and pages promptly and courteously. Confirm product integrity and check product temperatures as needed. Stamp, initial, process, and file invoices. Follow Whole Foods Market Correct Pay Procedures and accurately close purchase orders in the store purchasing application. Adhere to and meet receiving standards as outlined in Store Process. Distribute all store expense invoices to Store Leadership and ensure compliance with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices. Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintain equipment in accordance with WFM cleanliness and safety standards.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Working knowledge and application of all WFM quality goals, food handling, safety, merchandising expectations, and other standards. Strong basic math skills. Knowledge and ability to use computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ordering systems. Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team. Ability to deliver information clearly and respectfully to fellow Team Members, customers, and vendors. Ability to meet customer service expectations and standards in all interactions. Ability to follow directions and procedures, effective time management, and organisation skills. Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and strong attention to detail.

Experience: 12+ months retail experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions: Must be able to lift fifty pounds. In an 8-hour workday: standing/walking 6-8 hours. Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling. Work requires bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching. Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals and temperatures of 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Ability to work in a wet and cold environment and a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
