We are thrilled to partner with a brand new co-educational day school that is set to open with approximately 100 students in Year 7, 8, and 9 in Central London. We are currently seeking a dynamic Head of Languages to join this exciting venture. This is a unique opportunity to shape the language curriculum as the school plans to expand to A-levels and grow to 500 students within the next few years.

About the School

With the latest state-of-the-art classroom technologies, and resources from the future, this new school is providing world-class education right here in the heart of London. The founding team comprises highly qualified educators from prestigious institutions across London and they are looking for like-minded, aspirational educators to join them in developing the MFL department this September.

Key Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Development: Lead the Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) department, ideally teaching Spanish (KS3-KS5) and French (at least KS3). The school is also open to teaching French with Spanish, or French, with German.
  • Leadership: Line manage other staff covering Ancient Languages and German, with the opportunity to expand the team as we grow.
  • Teaching: Deliver engaging and high-quality language instruction that fosters a love of learning and academic excellence.
  • PSHE Involvement: There may be opportunities to incorporate PSHE into your teaching and leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Teaching qualifications and relevant Languages degrees (MA level preferred)
  • UK QTS desirable, but not required
  • A strong background in MFL teaching, with a focus on Spanish and French.
  • Proven leadership and management experience in an educational setting.
  • A commitment to high academic standards and student development.
