We’re looking for a Business Analyst (Data BI) to join our IT team at an exciting time of business growth. This role will play a key part in developing reporting, dashboards, and business insights across the organisation, primarily using Qlik Sense and data from our ERP and operational systems. You’ll work closely with departments across the business to understand reporting requirements, improve visibility of key information, and help identify opportunities for process and operational improvement.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining Qlik Sense dashboards and reporting solutions
  • Working with departments across the business to gather reporting and data requirements
  • Creating meaningful management information and operational reporting
  • Writing and troubleshooting SQL queries
  • Supporting the ongoing improvement of business processes and reporting visibility
  • Analysing data trends and helping identify operational improvement opportunities
  • Supporting users with reporting and data-related queries
  • Maintaining reporting documentation and specifications
  • Working with ERP and operational system data, primarily within IFS
  • Supporting self-service reporting and improving usability of information
  • Working closely with the Head of IT to identify improvements and opportunities
  • Providing occasional ad-hoc IT support where required
  • Taking part in a shared on-call rota for business-critical systems, with appropriate training and support

Key Ingredients Needed for the Role:

  • Experience with BI or reporting tools (Qlik Sense preferred)
  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills
  • Experience working with ERP or operational business systems (preferably IFS)
  • Ability to gather requirements and work with stakeholders across the business
  • A structured approach to analysis and problem-solving
  • Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical users
  • Understanding of operational business processes and reporting requirements
  • General IT awareness and troubleshooting ability
  • Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, or operational environments would be beneficial
