We are looking for a Process and Development Manager to join our exciting new team. As our Process Development Manager, your focus will be on leading and managing delivery of all products transfers from NPD handover to launch with involvement, as required, in the concept development part of the project. Challenge the norm, if necessary, to deliver safe and consistent product/process solutions. Working cross-functionally across the business within defined business launch process. Work collaboratively across the manufacturing facilities and wider business to harmonize ways of working, adherence to launch process, reporting on project progress from factory trial to post-launch review.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Factory specifications and Quality Approval Standards (QAS) portfolio within the business.
- Lead product launches and process improvement initiatives enabling EPD and NPD of brand and retail customer’s products.
- Own, develop and improve processes in place to drive efficiency and cost reduction. May take responsibility for training others within the team.
- Provide a professional and engaging service to customers (could be internal or external). Ensure that needs are understood and met. Dealings are professional. Proactively escalate when necessary.
- Build relationships with customers during site visits to ensure smooth delivery of new product launches.
- A proactive approach, working closely with stakeholders to ensure concept implementation and post-launch review is as smooth a transition as possible.
- Liaise with stakeholders such as: Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, Packaging, and Engineering in order to facilitate new raw materials / packaging equipment for project trials and delivery.
- Working with stakeholders to complete QAS’, setting taste panels and lab testing to meet stakeholders' requirements.
The ideal candidate
- Passionate about food! FMCG or food manufacturing experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Organised, self-motivated, pro-active and able to work as part of a team.
- Possesses strong attention to detail and is solution-focused.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
