About The Role
Rotating shift schedule: Shift: 4 week Rotating Schedule. Block 1 (Weeks 1-4): Monday – Wednesday 7am – 7pm. Block 2 (Weeks 5-8): Thursday – Saturday 7am-7pm, plus two flexible floating shifts every 4 weeks. Engineering operates a 24/6 cover, working on a 3 days on 4 days off rota with banked hours principle.
You will provide a full engineering support service to all areas of the business, aiming to minimise machine and equipment downtime and maximise preventative maintenance.
Key focus areas:
- Minimise machine downtime
- Prevent manufacturing lost time
- Achievement of the Preventative Maintenance Plan
- To be audit ready at all times – relevant paperwork and quality audits completed
- To be generating continuous improvement ideas
You will have experience of working as a Maintenance Engineer within a production environment – preferably food processing, and will be able to demonstrate an understanding of manufacturing processes. You\’ll need to use both your electrical and mechanical engineering experience in this role.
You\’ll be used to planning PPM, and you\’ll understand the importance of this. As you\’d expect, there will also be reactive work, so you\’ll need to be adaptable – a natural, hands on problem solver will thrive in this role. You\’ll be comfortable recording reports and work logs onto our system – so computer literacy is also important.
Ideally you will have (or be working towards) the following qualifications:
- BTECH/ONC qualification as a minimum in either Electrical or Mechanical discipline or Multi skilled engineering qualification or C&G 2330 Level 3 Electro-technical certificate combined with NVQ 3 Electrical Maintenance
- Time served apprentice
- Multi-skilled Engineer
- HNC level in electrical, mechanical or production maintenance engineering
