The HR Advisor provides hands-on HR support to the business, working closely with the HR Business Partners to deliver effective and consistent people solutions, as well as the HR Operations team & Payroll to ensure a seamless service on all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

The role: Employee lifecycle ownership - supports all activities across:
- Joiners - contract admin, onboarding process, system setup, payroll inputs, pre-employment checks
- Movers - promotions, pay changes, transfers, restructures, change in hours
- Leavers - resignations, leavers paperwork and admin, final payroll consideration
Payroll interface - ensures submissions from HRSSC to payroll in line with cut off dates all relevant data. Includes the data having been quality checked. Supports on payroll queries and changes including pay increase missing, late changes, maternity changes, contractual amendments, bonus inputs, pay review inputs.
HR systems and data - HRIS integrity checks, audit reports, missing data resolution, process compliance, document control, reporting support including Board packs.
HR manager support - act as first escalation point for managers including triage issues, resolve operational queries, coordinate responses across HR teams, manage service requests, ensure timely closure of queries.
About you:
- Experience in an HR Advisor or HR Officer role
- Experience in managing employee relations cases (entry to mid-level)
- Background in manufacturing, FMCG, or operational environments beneficial
- Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR practices
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Practical and solutions-focused approach
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Numerate, IT savvy and able to work confidently with data
- CIPD Level 3 minimum or working towards Level 5 as a preference
