As Compliance Manager, you’ll lead the development and continual improvement of our quality systems, ensuring full compliance with internal policies, customer standards, and legislation. You’ll help maintain product quality and customer satisfaction by managing process documentation, monitoring non‑conformances, and supporting hygiene verification. You’ll also deliver Food Safety training to production teams when needed.

Your Role: You’ll take the lead on internal audits across seven sites, working closely with Technical and Quality Managers to ensure robust technical policies and quality systems are in place and continuously improved. You’ll drive investigations and problem‑solving, support retailer compliance systems, and deliver Hygiene and Food Safety training to keep our teams compliant and confident. You’ll champion continual improvement across the business, collaborate with Operational and Technical Sales teams to address the root causes of complaints and non‑conformances, and play a key role in customer and third‑party audits, ensuring long‑term, sustainable quality standards.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Extensive experience working to BRC standards, with a solid understanding of third‑party audit expectations
  • Deep knowledge of HACCP and Quality Management Systems (QMS), including the ability to develop, upgrade and embed improvements
  • Hands‑on experience with major retailer standards and their technical requirements
  • Proven track record of leading customer and third‑party audits with confidence and credibility
  • Excellent relationship‑building skills, with a strong customer‑focused mindset
  • Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal
  • High IT competency, able to work accurately and efficiently across multiple systems and platforms

While the role is primarily Monday–Friday during standard office hours, our business operates 24/7, so a flexible approach is essential and occasional out‑of‑hours support may be required.

Desirable: Experience working across multiple sites or within a group structure, ideally within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications: You must have HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3, with strong practical application. It would also be desirable, but not essential to have a degree or formal qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
