Play a key role in the efficient operation of our large-pack packing lines, driving maximum output, reducing waste and rework, and ensuring products are packed to the highest quality standards for our customers.

Hours: The Shift Pattern for the role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 06:00 – 14:00
The role:
- Operate packing lines efficiently to maximise production output while minimising downtime, waste, and rework across both small and large pack operations.
- Manage flour transfers and ensure accurate bag scrolling across all packing lines.
- Support production planning activities to ensure the smooth and efficient running of operations.
- Ensure all flour products are packed to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
- Complete and accurately record all Food Safety and Health & Safety checks in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain exceptional housekeeping and hygiene standards through clean-as-you-go practices, ensuring all packing areas remain audit-ready.
- Conduct routine line inspections, ensuring empty pallets, waste materials, and unnecessary items are removed, and unused materials are stored and covered appropriately.
- Ensure all products are packed, sampled, and tested in line with established quality and operational procedures.
- Identify, upscale, and report engineering or equipment issues that may impact efficiency, quality, or production output.
- Carry out daily redresser checks across all packing lines, working collaboratively with the wider production team.
- Perform sampling, testing, and hourly quality assurance checks to maintain product compliance and consistency.
- Prepare and monitor daily pallet and bag requirements across production lines, ensuring timely replenishment of threads, slip sheets, and other consumables.
- Provide operational cover during breaks, holidays, and weekends across both small and large pack areas.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working across multiple production areas to support business needs.
- Work closely with the Manufacturing Manager and wider operations team, undertaking additional duties and projects as required.
