HR Advisor – Fixed Term (until September 2027)
Location: Wednesbury / Piquant
Salary: GBP30,000 – GBP35,000 per annum
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

About the role:
- Manage routine employee relations cases, including absence, conduct, capability and informal grievances, escalating more complex matters where needed.
- Provide clear, practical guidance to line managers on policies, procedures and best practice.
- Support investigations, including note‑taking and preparing outcome documentation.
- Prepare and issue HR documents such as invitations, outcomes, contractual changes and general correspondence.
- Maintain accurate employee records and support HR systems to ensure data quality.
- Assist with onboarding and off‑boarding activities.
- Act as a visible and approachable HR presence on site, building strong working relationships.
- Provide day‑to‑day, accessible HR support and help foster a positive employee experience.
- Respond to line manager queries with consistent, practical advice aligned to company policy.
- Support and coach managers in applying people processes effectively.
- Support key HR processes including absence tracking, probation reviews and performance cycles, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Work closely with the HR Business Partner, supporting case preparation, reporting, HR initiatives and site‑level change activities.
About you:
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor or HR Officer role.
- Hands‑on experience managing a range of employee relations cases.
- Background in manufacturing, FMCG or a fast‑paced operational environment (desirable).
- Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
- Confident communicator, able to build effective relationships at all levels.
- Practical, solutions‑focused approach to problem‑solving.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Comfortable working with data, with good numeracy and IT skills.
- CIPD Level 3 as a minimum.
