Warehouse Operative (REQ00892) Selby, England
As a Warehouse Operative, you'll play a key role in ensuring our products are picked, packed, stored and loaded accurately and efficiently, helping us deliver outstanding service to our customers.
Working as part of a busy team, you'll support the smooth and safe operation of the warehouse, ensuring deliveries are completed on time and in full while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping.
Flexibility is essential, including providing cover for colleagues during periods of sickness, training or operational need.

Hours: The shift pattern for this role is an average of 37.32 hours per week, on a rotating shift pattern consisting of mornings, afternoons and nights.
The role
- Operate the D365 Warehouse Management System (WMS) to accurately manage stock movements and warehouse activities.
- Move, wrap, label and store products safely and efficiently in designated locations.
- Load trailers in line with dispatch schedules, ensuring orders are accurate and secure for transport.
- Complete picking tasks accurately and report any stock discrepancies or operational issues.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness and hygiene across all warehouse and production areas.
- Complete all required food safety, quality and operational records accurately.
- Support packing line activities and wider operational requirements as needed.
- Carry out basic equipment and warehouse maintenance tasks, reporting any faults or defects.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure efficient warehouse and packing operations.
- Handle raw materials and finished products in accordance with company procedures and quality standards.
- Collect and test flour samples in line with product specifications and quality requirements.
- Follow all Health & Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Customer Service policies and procedures at all times.
- Contribute to a safe, productive and customer-focused working environment.
About you
- A valid
Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) licence .
- Manual handling training and experience of working safely within a warehouse or production environment.
- Hand truck trained, with the ability to move materials and products safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of food production, warehouse or manufacturing processes.
- Good organisational skills and confidence using computer systems and warehouse management software.
- Understanding of
Food Safety , including basic Food Hygiene and HACCP principles.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and the importance of maintaining product standards.
- A proactive and reliable approach, with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of Health & Safety, quality and customer service at all times.
