As a Production Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our packing lines. You’ll be responsible for maintaining high food safety standards while maximising output, minimising waste, and ensuring products consistently meet customer expectations. Working as part of a fast-paced production team, you’ll contribute to smooth operations and high-quality delivery across all packing activities.
Location: Maldon
Salary: Competitive

Hours: The shift pattern for this role is 12 hours rotating shifts, covering both days and nights.
The role:
- Operate all packing lines to maximise output safely and by complying with all Health and safety protocols.
- Ensure pre-shift safety checks are carried out and recorded in line with company procedures.
- Ensure flour is packed to the highest presentation standards.
- Ensure all products are packed and sampled in line with company procedures.
- Maintain hygiene standards of the packing lines and surrounding areas as well as the deep cleaning of the line/s at regular intervals.
- Identify and report any machinery defects in real time and record them.
- Provide guidance and leadership to the temporary workers on shift with you.
- Bringing the packaging from the warehouse and returning in a fit state once finished.
- Wrap and label finished pallets and place in the warehouse.
- Accurately recording the downtime on various platforms to assist with the machine optimisation.
- Reprocess the out of spec product.
- Any other reasonable tasks as requested by their line manager.
