As a Laboratory Technician, you’ll play an important role in supporting our quality standards by testing wheat and flour at every stage of the process—from raw materials through to finished products. Your work will help ensure both quality control and quality assurance, contributing directly to the consistency, safety, and performance of our products.
Location: Whitley Bridge

Hours: The shift pattern for this role is 40 hours per week, Wednesday to Sunday 06:00 – 14:30
Day to day: In this role, you’ll use a variety of bench tests and instrumental techniques to check the quality of incoming materials, ensuring they meet both our internal specifications and all relevant EC/UK regulations. You’ll help keep the laboratory running smoothly by maintaining equipment in good working order and carrying out quality control checks on outgoing products, carefully recording samples and comparing results to specification. As part of your day‑to‑day work, you’ll prepare and certify finished product samples for customers, ensuring they meet every requirement. Clear, supportive communication will be key, whether you’re working with colleagues across the site or engaging with suppliers and customers. You’ll also maintain accurate analysis records, contribute to the upkeep of our quality management system, and take pride in keeping laboratory areas clean, tidy, and well‑organised.
