About the role
We areseeking an outstanding and ambitious Assistant Headteacher to join ourleadership team and play a key role in driving excellence across our school.
This is anexciting opportunity for a highly effective practitioner and emerging orexperienced leader who is passionate about teaching and learning and committedto achieving the very best outcomes for all pupils.
Thesuccessful candidate will:
- Lead and develop high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across the school
- Take responsibility for a phase (e.g. key stage), ensuring high standards of achievement, behaviour and curriculum provision
- Contribute significantly to school self-evaluation, improvement planning and strategic leadership
- Be a visible and proactive member of the Senior Leadership Team
We arelooking for someone who:
- Isan excellent classroom practitioner, able to model outstanding teaching
- Hassuccessful experience of leading a team, subject or phase
- Hasa strong understanding of effective pedagogy and curriculum design
- Cananalyse and use data effectively to drive school improvement

All staff areexpected to know what to do if they have concerns about a child, take on the responsibility for providing a safe environment and promoting children's welfare, undertake regular safeguarding and child protection training and, familiarise themselves with KCSIE part 1 and local policies and procedures as directed by thetrust/academy.
