Overview

The post provides an exciting and unique opportunity to work within urogynaecology/female urology and to learn specialist skills in managing patients with chronic and recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs). The LUTS service is a tertiary clinical service and research centre that manages patients with chronic lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) and is closely associated with translational research. The Urogynaecology and LUTS subspecialties fall under the Women’s Health Department within the Acute Patient Access, Clinical Support Services, and Women’s Health Division (ACW). We are expanding our department and integrating Urogynaecology and LUTS where appropriate. Our division is supported by the Clinical Director, Director of Operations and Gynaecology Lead Consultant. Post holders will be supported by the LUTS and Gynaecology administrative teams.

Please note, this post may close earlier if we receive a sufficient number of applications.

Responsibilities

  • See patients with chronic lower urinary tract symptoms and continence-related problems.
  • Deliver specialist LUTS clinics and urogynaecology clinics.
  • Participate in urogynaecology operating lists and conduct urodynamics.
  • Opportunity to be involved with translational research within this tertiary service if the post holder wishes.
