We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Dental Nurse with excellent clinical and communication skills to join our dynamic Community Dental team. We provide special care dentistry across ten boroughs in London for adults and children in a variety of settings, including community dental clinics, domiciliary, hospitals, oral surgery services and a fluoride varnish programme. You will also have administrative and clerical duties within the department, and will be responsible for ensuring that dental care is provided safely and to a high standard. Training will be provided to support you in this role and to meet your GDC/CPD requirements.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Assisting the Clinicians in the provision of all Dental treatment clinically and on visits to patients' homes.
- Prepare surgeries for all Dental procedures whilst maintaining a hygienic working environment.
- Communicate appropriately and sensitively with patients, families and carers to provide reassurance and support, taking into consideration differences in language, ability and culture.
- Undertake reception, clerical and administrative duties for the dental clinic(s)/service.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
- Organised and methodical.
- Competent in basic MS Office and IT applications.
- Possesses initiative, can be flexible.
- Ability to participate in and contribute to the dental team.
- Efficient and accurate in record keeping.
