Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital in Bradford, MA is looking for a proven leader in nursing to take on the role of Director of Nursing (DON). As DON, you’ll oversee nursing operations across our Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF), Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC), and specialty programs. What You’ll Do:
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary nursing team with a focus on quality, compassion, and accountability.
- Collaborate across departments to coordinate care and improve outcomes across diverse patient populations.
- Develop and implement clinical standards in alignment with regulatory and professional benchmarks.
- Oversee hiring, development, performance, and retention strategies for all nursing staff.
- Support and evaluate quality improvement initiatives and hospital-wide care plans.
- Help align financial planning with clinical priorities to support sustainable, excellent care.
- Guide the nurse education department and promote lifelong learning within your team.
What We’re Looking For:
- Active RN license in Massachusetts.
- Master’s degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field.
- At least 7 years of diverse clinical experience including med-surg, geriatrics, adolescent care, and rehab.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership or academic role.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a natural drive to inspire, challenge, and support others.
- BLS certification required; ACLS and CRRN preferred.
