Staff Physiatrist – Inpatient and Outpatient

Full-Time

Essential Duties:

  1. Direct patient care to include responsibility for total patient management and coordination of other treatment disciplines.
  2. Document all clinical information in accordance with the Medical Staff Bylaws/Policies and Procedures, State and Federal Regulations, JCAHO and CARF Standards.
  3. Responsible for communication with patient and family regarding medical care issues.
  4. Assumes committee responsibilities as assigned by Administration and the Medical Staff.
  5. Actively participates in rehabilitation team conferences.
  6. Responsible for evaluating and following outpatients as scheduled by the Ambulatory Care Department.
  7. Age Specific Competence – Is competent to treat and care for the geriatric population.

Prerequisites:

  1. Currently Licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine.
  2. Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
  3. Meets all licensure and credentialing requirements as outlined in the Medical Staff Bylaws.
  4. Knowledge of growth and development across the life span.
