Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital – Haverhill
PD Pharmacist needed – $54/hr
1 weekend per month necessary. Additional hours may be available to cover vacation time.
Primary duties:
- Functions as a pharmacist according to the licensing Board of Registration for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Receives, interprets, prepares and fills drug orders as directed by physician (s). Refills empty bottled returned from floor for replenishment as directed by order.
- Assists in maintaining inventory control and annual physical inventory.
- Answers or obtains answers to inquiries from physicians, nursing personnel, student nurses and other healthcare disciplines concerning adverse drug reactions, dosage, IV incompatibility and other issues within areas of responsibility and knowledge.
- Demonstrates geriatric and adolescent rehabilitation knowledge.
- Demonstrates appropriate communication/interaction with patients, families, visitors and employees, taking into consideration age and developmental level.
What we need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy – Minimum
- Must be a Registered Pharmacist.
- At least twelve‐(12) month’s experience in geriatric/adolescent and rehabilitation hospital Pharmacy preferred
