The Whittan Group is the largest manufacturer of steel storage products in the United Kingdom. Operating through a number of market-leading brands, we design, manufacture, and install storage solutions for commercial and industrial environments across the UK and Europe. We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Engineering Team Lead to join our dynamic maintenance team at our Milton Keynes site. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth running, reliability and performance of our plant operations.
Working Hours
- Monday – Thursday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
- Friday: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
The Role
- As Engineering Team Lead, you’ll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance activities while providing hands-on support when needed.
- You’ll lead a team of engineers, coordinate repairs, and ensure equipment downtime is minimised.
- Leading, coaching, and supporting a team of maintenance engineers.
- Organising daily workloads and planned maintenance schedules.
- Responding to breakdowns and ensuring quick, effective repairs.
- Improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime (MTTR & MTBF).
- Managing spare parts, suppliers, and contractor activity.
- Supporting continuous improvement and operational performance.
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and compliance.
