Hours: Rotational Shift 06:00am – 14:00pm / 14:00pm – 22:00pm


We are looking for an experienced and proactive Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to join our manufacturing operation in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a fast-paced engineering team, ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and performance of our production equipment.


You will play a key role in maintaining machine uptime, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding electrical issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.


Key Responsibilities



  • Carry out planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance activities.

  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults across production equipment.

  • Support machine uptime and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) targets.

  • Conduct routine inspections, servicing, and improvement works.

  • Record maintenance activities and machine history using the CMMS system.

  • Manage and monitor spare parts usage, helping to maintain critical stock levels.

  • Work closely with production, engineering, and external contractors to resolve issues efficiently.

  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities to increase asset reliability and reduce downtime.


Essential Experience & Skills



  • Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role within a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills.

  • PLC knowledge and troubleshooting experience.

  • Experience working with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) systems.

  • Ability to analyse problems, identify root causes, and implement solutions.

  • Experience using CMMS software.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

  • NVQ, BTEC, or equivalent Engineering qualification.

  • Experience with press tooling.

  • Ability to operate workshop machinery including lathes, milling machines, pedestal drills, and surface grinders.

  • Experience within a continuous improvement environment.
