Whittakers is a boutique legal costs consultancy dealing with a diverse portfolio of costs work, including commercial, public law, human rights and clinical negligence matters. We work with top lawyers across the country, providing quality drafting, advice and negotiation.

The ideal candidate will be driven and capable, with an appetite for responsibility within a growing firm.

The Role

  • Drafting Bills of Costs, Points of Dispute, Replies and Costs Budgets;
  • Advising clients on costs issues;
  • Negotiating costs settlements.

  • £30,000.00-£50,000.00 base salary;

  • Flexible working: 40 hours a week with core hours of 10am-4pm.

What You Will Offer

  • Drive and a positive attitude;
  • Desire to achieve and excel in the costs field;
  • 18 months or more of experience drafting Bills of Costs;
  • Good standard of written English;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Strong grasp of costs law and procedure;
  • Commitment to provide a good standard of service to our clients and to acheive turnaround and billing targets;
  • Costs Lawyer qualification or other legal qualification beneficial but not essential.
