The service serves over 20,000 patients across Kent and Medway, providing a consultant‑led, accessible and efficient dermatology service. - Operate as a one‑stop‑shop, ensuring patients are assessed and receive treatment within the same appointment where possible.
- Provide a high‑quality, accessible, multidisciplinary service with consultant oversight, meeting NICE guidance and best practice.
- Triage all referrals to the dermatology pathway and manage cases appropriately in line with local referral pathways.
- Refer patients to hospital only when necessary (e.g., tier‑4 cases, acutely unwell patients, diagnostic uncertainty or treatments that require hospital supervision).
- Offer clinical opinions and detailed management plans to referring clinicians, supporting the GP with follow‑up as appropriate.
- Provide information, support and education on self‑care, prevention and long‑term management of skin disease.
- Develop integrated pathways and maintain good communication across all tiers of care, bridging primary and secondary services.
Schedule & Working Conditions

- WMP pay is competitive at each staff grade.
