Salary – £26,208.78 per year (plus mileage* and travel time covered)
People with learning disabilities and autism across Surrey rely on us to provide care and support to allow them to live their lives as independently as possible.
This may be in our own accommodation or out in the community in peoples own homes.

About The Role
Always motivated to achieve high standards of care and support, our Community Support Worker is the face-to-face contact for People we support, either in their home or assisting them to access their local Community.
You will be a great communicator and able to liaise directly with Care professionals and able to accompany People we support to professionals meetings.
Your role will have a positive influence on the People we support and assist them in achieving their personal goals.
You will develop strong relationships with the wider Care and Support team based out of The Old Manse with opportunities for overtime or bank cover at other sites/ services if chosen.
Travel to our Head Office in Hindhead may be required for training and events.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Responsible for service delivery – support clients with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning and shopping, life admin and making appointments.
- Responsible for supporting clients on daily outings or to appointments.
- Promote Community involvement and attendance at events and activities.
- Ensure emotional and practical support is tailored to an individual’s needs to enable them to live as independently as possible.
- Create a positive and supportive environment, ensuring that our clients’ rights and dignity are always upheld.
- Responsible for updating electronic care records in real time and sharing key information with colleagues.
- Liaise in person or over the phone with People we support, their family members, support workers, management, other departments and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the wider Care and Support team to drive service improvements and innovation.
- Assist in the facilitation of activities and events for the People we support.
- Ensure petty cash records are kept up to date in accordance with our policies.
- Participate in meetings, training and events that may be held off-site at or near our Head Office in Hindhead.
- Undertake any other tasks required by the Registered Managers/Deputies in line with the competency level of this role.
