Whitmore Primary School and Nursery has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Assistant Headteacher / Inclusion Manager and Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to join our fantastic team from September 2026.

Whitmore Primary School and Nursery is located in Whitmore Way, Basildon and has an excellent reputation in the local community. Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Responsible for Inclusion and our Designated Safeguarding Lead.
  • Experience of leading whole-school projects and curriculum subjects with impact.
  • Strong understanding of teaching and learning and confident use of data to drive strategy.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff, parents and governors.
  • Can use school assessment data to inform school strategy.
  • Can organise their own time and ensure strong communication with parents.
  • Experience of teaching within KS1 and KS2.
  • Demonstrate impact in developing an area of the school’s curriculum.
