Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Lead, manage, develop and be accountable for the department and curriculum at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 in Geography.
  • Accountable within the department for strategic direction and development of the subject, teaching and learning, leading and managing staff, pupil progress and standards of achievement, and efficient and effective deployment of staff and resources.
  • Deliver effective and high-quality learning experiences to all students with a collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
  • Be a well-qualified teacher with excellent subject knowledge and the ability to teach well across the 11-19 age range.
  • Be influential and committed to getting the best outcomes for the students in the school.
  • Be committed to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, the principles and practice of equal opportunities and safeguarding all young people.
