We are looking to appoint an inspirational and dynamic Head of Department in our well‑established team. Someone with a real passion for their subject who will lead, develop and manage the effective delivery of an outstanding curriculum which enables all students to reach their potential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, develop and be accountable for the department and curriculum at Key Stages 4 & 5 in Economics and Business.
  • Be accountable within the department for the strategic direction and development of the subject, teaching and learning, leading and managing staff, pupil progress and standards of achievement, and the efficient and effective deployment of staff and resources.
  • Deliver effective and high-quality learning experiences to all students with a collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
  • Be influential and committed to getting the best outcomes for the students in our school.
  • Be committed to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, the principles and practice of equal opportunities and safeguarding all young people.

Qualifications

  • Be a well‑qualified teacher with excellent subject knowledge and the ability to teach well across the 11-19 age range.
