Position: Grade 5, part‑time 8–12 (Full time equivalent £26,824‑£28,598; Actual Salary £20,722‑£22,093).
Salary: £26,824 – £28,598 Pro Rata.
Role: Level 3 Teaching Assistant able to work independently with small groups and individual pupils in wellbeing and learning interventions.
Key responsibilities:
- Work with emotionally based school avoiders within the Gardd Dysgu provision, supporting learners to re‑engage with education in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
- Provide in‑class support to help learners across our mainstream provision access the curriculum, develop confidence and achieve their full potential.
- Build relationships with pupils and staff, demonstrating a flexible, trauma‑informed approach.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team to maintain high teaching and learning standards.
Qualifications and experience:
- Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching (or willingness to achieve it if not already held).
- Experience as a teaching assistant, preferably with a primary school background (transferable to secondary additional needs).
- Excellent communication skills, sense of humour, and reliability.
Training and professional development opportunities will be provided.
