We require, from 1st September 2026, a motivated and enthusiastic PE Support Technician to join our PE Department. The successful candidate will support both staff and students in practical and theory PE lessons, assist with the delivery of extra-curricular sport and fixtures, and help promote participation in a wide range of physical activities across the school.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain and organise sports equipment, facilities and resources to ensure lessons and activities run safely and effectively.
- Work closely with teachers and students; be proactive, well-organised, resilient, good-humoured and enjoy working with young people aged 13–18.
- Support both staff and students in practical and theory PE lessons and assist with the delivery of extra-curricular sport and fixtures.
- Promote participation in a broad range of physical activities across the school.
Qualifications and Requirements
A passion and interest in a broad range of sports and physical activities is essential. Experience of coaching young people and relevant coaching qualifications would be advantageous.
Development and Training
As part of our commitment to personal and professional development, the successful candidate will participate in a weekly training programme alongside teachers and other classroom-based support staff.
