Part-time, Casual Contract

Salary: £11.67 gross per hour or £12.71 gross per hour (if over 21 years old).

Whitgift is a leading independent day and boarding school for boys, with approximately 1500 pupils including over one hundred boarding pupils and flexi boarding pupils. It is set in an attractive 48-acre parkland site in South Croydon enjoying excellent links to London, Surrey and the south coast.

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Sports Centre Duty Manager to support the day-to-day operation of our busy Sports Centre. Reporting to the Sports Centre Manager, you will help ensure the facility remains safe, well-maintained and welcoming for pupils, staff, external clubs and community users.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising Sports Centre operations
  • Managing lifeguards on duty
  • Monitoring health and safety compliance
  • Supporting emergency procedures
  • Ensuring the highest standards of customer service are delivered
  • Maintaining cleanliness, security and smooth running of the facility

Applicants must hold a current NPLQ or NRASTC qualification and First Aid certification, together with excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills. Experience in a sports, leisure or recreation environment is desirable.
